INSTRUCTIONAL SERVICES

Indian Education

Funded by Title VII of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act and the Salem-Keizer School District, this program is available to all eligible American Indian/Alaska Native students attending Salem-Keizer School District.

Services include:

• In-class tutoring for elementary and secondary students
• Literacy Night classes for elementary students and their parents or grandparent
• Credit recovery program for high school students
• Assistance determining available alternative education settings
• College and scholarship information
• Native-based graduation celebration
• Summer school
• Monthly meetings with American Indian/Alaska Native parents
• Bi-monthly newsletter for parents and schools
• Advocates to assist parents with meetings at schools
